A labor of love, creativity and exploration.

Born and raised in Virginia, ceramic artist Ellie Schwer has been making, building, and creating for as long as she can remember. After studying art at university in Chattanooga, Tennessee, she moved around the country—first to St. Louis, Missouri, then San Antonio, Texas, Indianapolis, Indiana, where she started teaching art to differently-abled adults, and Lincoln, Nebraska. In every city and every step of her journey, she honed her skills, exploring new techniques and ideas as she grew her practice.

Founded in 2020, Quiver Creek Ceramics is a labor of love five years in the making. The name of the studio comes from “Quiver Creek Farm,” the title given to her forest- and field-filled childhood home in Virginia. Now, working out of her studio in Lincoln Nebraska, Ellie hand-crafts durable, unique, and often custom-made ceramic products using clay harvested from the very region where she was raised.

From mugs to dish sets, sink basins, light fixtures to sculptures, Ellie is constantly exploring and innovating with new techniques and styles. She often incorporates painting and drawing into her pieces—primarily floral designs (her personal favorites), but also mountains, quotes, and many others.
